New books and back to work !

Bonjour !

Summer is over and it is time to get back into the studio for a new year of productivity. Actually I did work a lot this summer, I traveled a bit for sure but I was also working on this child book :

Book illustrated and written by Isabelle Arné for Titalbum

It is fully made in watercolor and I am quite proud of the result. Although it is written in French I highly invite you to have a look at the full book on Titalbum, it is free to read !

Don’t hesitate to give a good review to give a chance to my book to win the contest ! Yay !

Be sure I will talk more about my process and the illustrations inside the book in future posts. It was a real challenge for me to create this book and I felt how much I improved in watercolor.

But there is more ! Yes, I made the covers for 2 books, fully illustrated Soda pop drop and autumn is the time where new books get out in shops, so these 3 are now available to buy on Amazon.

It makes me so happy to see all these come to life, thanks to the authors to have trusted me with their book covers, and Mallory to let me illustrate all her book.

On top of that I am very glad to say that the Kickstarter by Tabulit that I talked about in a previous post is funded and my comic will be in it. I’ll happily wait for that ! What a good time 😀

AFAR: A Comic Anthology About Distance

Bonjour !

I am very glad to announce to you that I made a comic for an anthology book about long distance relationships made by Tabulit. The comic I made is called “Trains” and is about living appart from a loved one :

Comic for Tabulit comic book collective

I’ve been working with Tabulit for a while and I love what Alex Park does with his projects, I already took part in the first anthology book they made ” Furr: A Comic Anthology About Cats “. I had an illustration in it, but this time I decided to go for a short comic of 6 pages.

It was a good opportunity for me to experiment with watercolor and the black Fude brushpen by pentel that I actually use all the time. It was a great experience and I am kinda glad about the pages that came out and I am over excited to see the book come to life like the previous one ( that I happily added to my book collection ! ).

So I highly advise you to have a look at the Kickstarter, and check out the other artists that participated in the book, among them Jade Armstrong, Joe Whitt, Renee Liang, Cathrin Peterslund, Rado R. and many more !

Thanks for reading and see you soon for a new blog post !
